「第16回動的語用論研究会--動的語用論(Dynamic Pragmatics)の構築へ向けて」（動的語用論研究会主催）を、来る2023年3月25日（土）に対面（大阪大学）とZoomのオンラインによる、ハイブリッド開催で開催いたします。今回も、「動的語用論の構築へ向けて」と題し、「ことばのダイナミズムの本質に迫る：周辺から核心へ」をテーマに掲げたいと思います。まず、今回は、第一部の研究発表に国内から3組の講師（小澤雅氏（University of Wisconsin-Madison）、抽冬紘和氏（福岡女学園大学）、窪田悠介氏（国立国語研究所）・井戸美里氏（国立国語研究所））を、第二部にイギリスからオンラインでお2人の著名な研究者（Chi-He Elder先生(University of East Anglia)とKasia M. Jaszczolt先生(Cambridge University)）をお迎えし、特別講演を行っていただきます。

発表要旨
1. 「日本語の自然発生会話における一人称代名詞の動的な表出： 『主張』を含む連鎖に着目して」
小澤 雅 （University of Wisconsin-Madison）
本発表では、主張 (“assertion”) (Vatanen, 2014; Vatanen et al., 2021) を含む会話の連鎖に着目し、一人称代名詞が現れる発話の形態統語論的特徴は、連鎖上の位置と行為に関連づくことを提示する。そして、相互行為の中で動的に一人称代名詞が表出される様子を考察する。

2．「ELFディスコース内での共通基盤化における談話標識soの使用とその習得
抽冬 紘和 (福岡女学院大学)
本発表ではELF(English as a Lingua Franca)ディスコース内での異文化コミュニケーションにおける共通基盤化 (Clark, 1996)に焦点をあて、その際に見られる日本人学生とアジア人留学生、英語母語話者グループアシスタント間での談話標識（so）の機能と非英語母語話者の談話標識使用を考察する。このグループディスカッション内では、意見と根拠（理由）を提示することがグループ相互行為の達成とするが、参与者はその談話形式への相互的意識はなく、より自己中心的な参与様式で対話を構築しようとする(e.g., Kecskes, 2014)。そこでグループアシスタントの英語母語話者学生が談話標識を使用し、対話を再構築し、１つの共通基盤を完成させるが、それは創発的な(emergent)なものであり、そののちの非英語母語話者学生の対話・参与様式習得へ影響を持つ。本事例では、エスノグラフィの観点から、このような学生の談話標識への創発的理解とそののちの実践を考察し、非英語母語話者の第二言語語用論的能力の発達としての談話標識使用を提案する。

3. 「ダケとダケハについて: 自然言語の論理を考える」
窪田 悠介 （国立国語研究所）・井戸 美里 （国立国語研究所）
取りたて詞ダケと対比のハは「命だけは助けてくれ」のように組み合わせて用いることができる。このダケハは、「(他の連中はともかく) 太郎だけは合格するだろう」のように、モーダル的な文で最低限 ('at least') の意味を表す場合に典型的に用いられる。さらに、このような例においては、一見したところダケの排他的意味が中和され、単に対比のハを用いた場合とほぼ同義となる (「(他の連中はともかく) 太郎{は/#だけ}合格するだろう」)。
本発表では、ダケハの意味の構成的な分析の手始めとして、記述的観察の整理を行い、また、主に形式意味論分野の最近の関連研究の展開 (Biezma 2013, Mizutani & Ihara 2022, Ido & Kubota 2022など) を参照しつつ、大まかな分析の方向性をスケッチすることを目的とする。ダケハの考察を通して、自然言語特有の(対話のやりとりや、文脈知識に基づく推論を背景にした) 動的な「論理」がどのような性質を持つか、という問いに迫るきっかけを探りたい。

4. Dynamic Functional Proposition for Dynamic Discourse Meaning

The tenets that the main meaning in discourse can be conveyed in a variety of (direct and indirect) ways and that it is shaped over a number of conversational turns are self-evident and as such are not in need of theoretical or empirical support. Nevertheless, theories of utterance meaning in the post-Gricean tradition have typically focused on the proposition that is expressed by the speaker in a single conversational turn and that is recovered by the addressee with the help of some (conscious or automatic) modification of the uttered sentence. In this tradition, successful communication rests on the assumption that speakers and addressees come to a shared understanding of these propositions as they are produced in conversation.
Starting with the assumptions that meaning is jointly constructed over a number of turns in discourse and that the main meaning settled on need not be communicated directly, we focus on the fact, supported by a wealth of empirical evidence, that speakers and hearers need not always converge on the main expressed proposition in order for communication to proceed unhindered: they may share partial understandings of individual utterances, allowing the overarching discourse meaning to unravel as the interaction progresses. We introduce a novel unit of meaning that accounts for such a dynamic concept that can emerge and develop over several turns at talk. We call it a ‘dynamic functional proposition’. This unit not only includes the linguistic meaning that has been communicated, but also other aspects of the situation, including the social frame, interlocutors’ levels of attention, emotions, and other non-representational aspects. These various aspect!
s will have greater or lesser salience for different speakers, hence offering an explanatory tool for how utterance meanings are negotiated, as well as when and why misunderstandings occur. We also discuss briefly how this unit differs from other related concepts of a proposition utilised in linguistics and philosophy.
We conclude by demonstrating such a unit can be formalised, using a dynamic, contextualist theory of Default Semantics (Jaszczolt 2005, 2021b). We do this by motivating different cognitive, social and linguistic parameters that influence it.
